Izukogen Art Festival, which is held in May of each year, marks its 18th anniversary this year.

This time, HIRO GALLERY IZUKOGEN holds a woodcut print exhibition of Yasuhiko Kida, whose exhibition was also held at Shiodome Museum of Panasonic Electric Works, Ltd. recently. Famous sceneries and temples in archetypal image of Japan are vividly expressed in his works from an adventurous point of view and color. His works are widely known for the package illustrations of a well-known bath agent series, “Tabinoyado.”

 From the works by Yasuhiko Kida, 22 woodcut prints of the scenes of spa towns throughout Japan are exhibited.

毎年5月に開催されております伊豆高原アートフェスティバルも２０１０年で第18回を数えました。

今回ヒロ画廊伊豆高原ゲストハウスでは、先日パナソニック電工汐留ミュージアムでも展覧会が開かれた木田安彦の木版画展を開催いたしました。日本人のこころに深く根ざした風物・名刹を、大胆な構図と色彩で力強く表現した作品は、入浴剤「旅の宿」シリーズのパッケージなどでも広く親しまれています。

その木田安彦の作品から、日本全国の温泉地の情景を描いた木版画22点を展示いたしました。ご来場誠にありがとうございました。
